Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KONGSBERG) has signed a contract with Rheinmetall Air Defence to deliver its command and control solution for integration into the Skyranger 30 mobile air defence system. The end customer is the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

The contract ensures seamless integration between the Skyranger 30 and the NASAMS and NOMADS air defence systems, which the Netherlands procured from KONGSBERG in November 2024. The contract value is in the high double-digit million euros.

“Having Skyranger 30 in the same network as NASAMS and NOMADS, with its combat-efficient command and control architecture, enables the Netherlands to deploy the most flexible solution on the market covering a wide range of air defence missions, including countering small and medium-sized drones,” said Kjetil R. Myhra, Executive Vice President of Division Defence Systems at KONGSBERG.

The Skyranger 30 will also be fully integrated into KONGSBERG’s simulation and training solution being delivered to the Netherlands as part of the November 2024 contract.
