Intelic and DroneShield have partnered to address a persistent weakness in European counter-drone defence: fragmented systems that do not work together across the detection-to-effect chain. The collaboration focuses on integrating DroneShield’s detection and electronic countermeasure capabilities into Intelic’s Nexus unmanned software, creating a modular counter-drone setup that connects sensors, aerial assets, and effectors into one operational system without lock-in.
From Detection to Action Without Fragmentation
Drones have become a constant factor in both military operations and the protection of critical infrastructure. While capable sensors and jammers exist, they are often deployed as standalone systems, resulting in delays, limited scalability, and increased operator workload. The combined solution from DroneShield and Intelic is designed to remove those breaks. By consolidating inputs from drones and sensors into one real-time air picture, the software enables faster decision-making and coordinated response. Integrating DroneShield’s ground-based detection and jamming systems into this environment creates a continuous chain from detection to action.
Nexus adds the fundamental software framework that ties everything together. The result is a system in which new sensors, jammers, or lower-cost effectors can be added or replaced without redesigning the architecture.
Built to Scale
A key objective of the partnership is modularity. Counter-drone threats evolve quickly, and defence systems must be able to adapt just as fast. Rather than relying on fixed, proprietary solutions, Intelic’s horizontal integration approach allows forces to scale protection incrementally and cost-effectively.
