Eve Air Mobility has officially selected BETA Technologies to provide electric pusher motors for its conforming prototypes and production-ready eVTOL aircraft. With a strong backlog of 2,800 eVTOL units, Eve continues to solidify its supply chain through this strategic partnership. The deal represents a potential 10-year revenue opportunity of up to $1 billion for BETA, while reinforcing Eve’s focus on proven technologies and its dedication to exceeding operational mission requirements.

The selection follows an initial testing phase in which Eve purchased, tested, and validated BETA’s motor performance using its Engineering Prototype. The first flight is anticipated in late 2025 or early 2026.

“Bringing BETA Technologies into our supply chain is a pivotal step forward for our eVTOL program,” said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility. “Their electric motor technology will be essential for powering our aircraft during cruise, helping us mature our propulsion architecture as we move toward entry into service. This partnership reflects our commitment to suppliers who share our rigorous safety standards and deliver proven engineering solutions—enhancing performance, efficiency, and sustainability as we bring urban air mobility to life.”

BETA designs and manufactures its own electric propulsion systems, known for industry-leading power-to-weight ratios and energy conversion efficiencies. Their simple designs incorporate segment redundancy and far fewer parts than conventional aircraft engines, resulting in high safety and low operating costs.

“We’re excited to work with Eve Air Mobility and supply our electric propulsion technology to their production program,” said Kyle Clark, CEO and Founder of BETA Technologies. “Our pusher motors have already demonstrated exceptional performance and reliability across thousands of demanding real-world operations globally. Our manufacturing capability allows us to deliver these systems at scale to support Eve’s aircraft. This collaboration is another step toward commercializing and adopting electric aviation.”

The selection of BETA Technologies highlights Eve’s strategy of partnering with leading aerospace innovators to power its conforming prototypes and production aircraft. BETA’s proven expertise in electric propulsion and its commitment to robust, high-performance designs were key factors in this strategic supplier decision.
